Popular Water Parks in Iowa

The mild midwestern state of Iowa is home to a handful of unique water parks. Whether your preference is for indoor, outdoor or a combination of both types of water amusements, Iowa has a park to please everyone this summer.
King's Pointe Waterpark Resort
The King's Pointe Waterpark Resort is located on Storm Lake in Iowa. This pretty outdoor park is built on the shore of the natural Storm Lake, though the attraction also offers an indoor play area for children, as well as a small indoor tube slide that empties into the resort pool. Outdoor rides and slides include: Discovery Plunge, Twisted Tornado, Howling Hurricane, Mighty Mustang and Raging Panther.
Lost Island Water Park
The Lost Island Water Park is located in the appropriately named city of Waterloo. Easily one of the best water parks in the state, Lost Island is currently home to at least 10 major slides including body slides, tube slides, raft slides and multi-rider attractions. The park also offers three different themed play areas for smaller swimmers, as well as a lazy river and wave pool.
Grand Harbor Resort and Water Park
The indoor Grand Harbor Water Park is an attraction built to subsidize the Port of Dubuque resort of the same name. In addition to offering classics like a full-sized tube ride and lazy river, the 25,000 square foot facility mixes things up with themed play areas, water cannons and rope mazes.
The Beach Ottumwa
The biggest draw of the small Beach Ottumwa water park in Ottumwa, Iowa is the even smaller admission. The park currently covers 13 acres of attractions including two full-sized slides and a lazy river. For $5 it is a good summer value for big groups.
Even Iowa gets hot in the summer! Cool off at any of the state's many indoor and outdoor water parks.
